Bukhara hosts International Kurash Tournament

Bukhara hosts International Kurash Tournament for President’s Prize in memory of Bakhauddin Naqshband.
Wrestlers from more than 20 countries are fighting for the grand prize in 7 weight categories. On the first day, the strongest wrestlers were determined in 60, 66, 90 and 100 kg weight categories among men and 52 kg among women.
Chori Zoyirov from Bukhara became first gold medalist of the International Kurash Tournament. He defeated Amankhan Oskenbayev from Kazakhstan.
Iran’s Jafar Firuzabadi took the first place in 66 kg weight category. While Mirjon Tukhtayev became the second. Shermukhammad Jandriyev from Surkhandarya became winner in 90 kg weight category. During the final battle against Jamalbek Asilbek uli from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan’s athlete earned chala and yonbosh scores. Erkin Doniyorov from Bukhara and Hamed Rashidi from Iran (up to 100 kg) fought with each other. Hamed Rashidi admitted defeat. 
In women’s championships, Asian Games winner, the World and Continent’s Champion Gulnor Sulaymonova from Surkhandarya defeated the Chinese Taipei’s Chiawen Tsou.
