State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on ecology and environmental protection

The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection in its activities is accountable to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Ecologic party of Uzbekistan

On November 14, 2018 was created at the meeting of the initiators of the creation of an ecological party in Uzbekistan, an Organizing Committee.

A “Roadmap” has been developed for the creation of an ecoparty. It was decided to preserve and transfer to the new political force the experience of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan, which has been in force since 2008, in improving legislation, international cooperation, public environmental control and the practice of solving environmental problems.

From December 1 to December 17, 2018, were held conferences on the election of delegates to the constituent congress of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent.

On January 8, 2019, was held in Tashkent the Constituent Congress of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the Program, Charter and symbols of the party were approved, its governing bodies were elected.

On January 22, 2019, was registered the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On February 27 – March 4 held conferences on the establishment of territorial party organizations of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and in the city of Tashkent.

In May-July, regional and city party organizations of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan were created at district and city conferences.

As of August 1, 2019, the party has 14 territorial and about 200 district and city party organizations. In many makhallas, at enterprises, in institutions and organizations, primary party organizations operate.

Over the past six months of its activity, more than 240,000 people have become members of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, of which 37% are women and 60% are young people.
