This year, the annual European Film Festival will be held from October 11 to November 10 in four cities of Uzbekistan – Tashkent, Nukus, Urgench and Jizzakh. It is organized by the Uzbekkino National Agency together with the Delegation of the European Union with the support of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media (NAEMM).

According to the EU Delegation, the seventh festival will feature 10 films by famous directors from 12 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Finland, France and Sweden.

This is the comedy drama King of the Belgians, the cartoon film Louise in the Winter, the documentary Stefan Zweig: Farewell to Europe, the drama The Exam and Small Farmer, Homo Sapiens, a documentary Barking Dogs in the Distance, a criminal drama Chiambra, the documentary The Happiest Day In Life and the feature film Paradise 89.

In Tashkent, the festival will be held in the NAEMM’s Media Hall (Zarafshan Concert Hall) from October 11 to 18, in Nukus from October 24 to 26, in Urgench from November 1 to 3, in Jizzakh from November 8 to 10.

Movies are in the original language with subtitles in the Uzbek and Russian languages. The entrance is free.
