The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations hosted a meeting with the Vice-President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Sureyya Er and the head of the representative office of TIKA in Uzbekistan Ali Ihsan Chaglar.

The Minister of Employment and Labor Relations A.Khaitov noted that effective cooperation on labor migration has been established between the two countries, which is important in the mutual exchange of experience in this field. 25 employees of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan, with the assistance of TIKA, completed training at organizations operating under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Turkey.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on solution of problems identified with TIKA in training unemployed population of the country for professions. So, based on the needs of the region, it was proposed to establish centers for training professions in such demanded areas as sewing, automobile, machine building, welding and others in Fergana valley.

Issues of improving the quality of education by involving qualified personnel from Turkey were also discussed. It was specially noted that persons who successfully completed the training courses will be provided with necessary tools and equipment before starting their labor activity. This system will be primarily launched in Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions, with time the opening of similar centers is planned also in other regions.
