“Social partnership-the guarantor of social justice”

On 27th February at the hotel “Dedeman-Silk Road”, the National Association of NGO’s of Uzbekistan carried out the first Republican Festival of NGO’s of Uzbekistan, “Social partnership-the guarantor of social justice”. This was done within the framework of the project “Organization and realization of a series of activities with the participation of representatives from the HHO, and the public dedicated to national and international festivals”.

The given activities were being carried out within the framework of the State social order, financed by the Public Fund for support of NGO’s and other institutions of civil society under the Oli Majlis (parliament) of the states of Uzbekistan.

The basic purpose of the function was to spread the message of the working experience of the HHO in achieving social partnerships, illuminating the contribution of the HHO in the development of Uzbekistan and also further promoting ideas of social cooperation.

The participants of this assignment became heads of the HHO while working in the field of decision making of social problems and presented the best projects showcasing their work.

Going by the results of the preliminary work, the independent Jury of the Festival consisting of representatives of the state and international structures, have selected the best projects by the social organizations in the sphere of social partnership.

The function was organized by the Committee of Women of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the population of Uzbekistan, and the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan.

The event began with a press conference during which a summary of the history of the project was given along with the aims and purpose for the organization of the function. The achievements of the HHO in the field of development of social partnership were also highlighted.

Within the framework of this function participants presented their organizations, and spoke about their basic achievements and the future plans of their respective organizations.

During the function there were performances by artists as well as an exhibition of the activities of the HHO, and their achievements. An exhibition of hand made articles and figures by the under privileged was also organized.

The final phase of the function was the presentation of awards to the winners of the selected nominations.
