‘Soglom Avlod Uchun’ Order Turns 15

The first order of independent Uzbekistan – “Soglom avlod uchun” (‘For healthy generation’) was instituted in accordance with the Decree of President Islam Karimov on March 4, 1993.

In line with what the Uzbek Leader has suggested, by “healthy generation” we firstly mean the healthy, physically strong generation, young people with firm convictions, solid knowledge, high spirituality, daring and courageous patriots.

The Law “On education”, the National program for cadres training, State nationwide Program on developing the school education for 2004-2009 have been elaborated and are now being introduced in practice in Uzbekistan.

The modern schools, academic lyceums, professional colleges, medical institutions built in cities and villages pursue such noble goals as upbringing the comprehensively developed people. In 2008 – the Year of Youth in Uzbekistan – the scale of such work ever more expands and is getting enriched with the new substance.

The people who have manifested special merits in protecting the motherhood and childhood, strengthening the health of forthcoming generation, upbringing it in the spirit of love for Homeland are awarded the order of “Soglom avlod uchun”.

From the time it has been instituted many Uzbek people who selflessly work in the area of upbringing the healthy generation, fruitfully work in various branches of life of society and worthily contribute to the development of the country have so far been awarded the order.
