 Uzbek Foreign Minister Congratulates External Affairs Minister of India

On the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and India (18th March) H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Vladimir Norov sent Congratulatory Message to H.E. the External Affairs Minister of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.

 

India is among the first countries, which have recognized the state independence of Uzbekistan and has established close friendly relations with our Republic. The Uzbek Minister emphasized that the centuries old historical and cultural links, as well as spiritual affinity of the peoples of Uzbekistan and India compose the basis of traditionally friendly relations between the two countries.

 

The visits of H.E. the President of Uzbekistan Mr. Islam Karimov to India in 2005 and visit of H.E. the Prime-Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh to Uzbekistan in 2006 has formed the solid foundation for intensification of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.

 

Mr. V.Norov underlined that the interactions between Uzbekistan and India in political, economic and humanitarian spheres, multifaceted cooperation in the framework of the international organizations, coincidence of positions on maintaining the regional security and stability, undoubtedly will serve interests of the two countries.

Now the both sides taking efforts aimed at further expanding the scales of the Uzbekistan-India cooperation.
