Nodirbek Yokubboev – young chess player from Uzbekistan, won a bronze medal at the World Chess Championship, held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russian Federation.
More than 400 young chess players aged 14, 16 and 18 years old, from more than 60 countries competed for the victory at the prestigious tournament.
Nodirbek Yokubboev in the competition among players in age category up to 14 years, scored 8 points out of 11 possible, and ranked among the winners. Our talented chess player defeated Tilakaratne from Sri Lanka, Lucas Fonseca Piccoli from Brazil, Hongchi Peng from China, Ilja Semjonovs from Latvia, David Peng USA, Yaroslav Remizov from Russian and Ukrainian representative Kirill Shevchenko, tied with Canadian Eugene Hua and USA chess player Gabriel Sam.
