A delegation led by the Minister of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan met with UNICEF Executive Director, Catherine Russell, in Paris, France.
The parties discussed large-scale reforms implemented in education in Uzbekistan in recent years. Catherine Russell was invited to the Second World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education to be held in Tashkent on November 14-16 this year.
The UNICEF Executive Director highly appreciated the measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to promote the importance of preschool education at the international level, expressing her gratitude for the invitation to the world conference in Tashkent.
The delegation also met with the Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, Hamad Al-Sheikh, and the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO, Princess Haifa Al-Mogrin.
Hamad Al-Sheikh expressed positive views on the progress of reforms in education in Uzbekistan. He also welcomed the holding of the Second World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education in Uzbekistan and expressed his desire to take part in this event.
