Minister of Labour of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov held a meeting with the head of the UNICEF Country Office in Uzbekistan Robert Fuderich.
At the beginning of the meeting, Robert Fuderich informed that he is wrapping his work as the head of UNICEF in Uzbekistan and will leave the country in the end of May.
The partners exchanged gratitude for successful cooperation in the sphere of employment and social protection of population.
Robert Fuderich and Aziz Abdukhakimov were co-chairperson in the working group of the UN agencies and Government of Uzbekistan on social protection. The group prepared joint action plan of activities for 2016-2017. They expressed assurance that the group will continue its work at high level.
The sides reached agreement on joint initiatives. In particular, the UN agencies and the Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision to create a website, which will publish studies, reports, news related to people with disabilities.
