A session of Council of National Coordinators of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Beijing, China, on 2 February 2016.
Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Rashid Alimov and Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the SCO Yevgeniy Sisoev are also attending the event.
At the session, which will last to 5 February, the participants will consider about 30 issues, related to work plan of the organization in 2016. The main events of the year is the session of the Council of the leaders of the SCO member states, which will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The participants will discuss issues of further stage-by-stage development of interaction of the member states with the observer states and partners on dialogue of the SCO in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
Council of National Coordinators of the SCO carries out coordination of the activities of the SCO, cooperation with ministries and departments of the member states. Uzbekistan chairs the SCO in 2015-2016.
