An familiarization tour was organized on August 12–16 for representatives of leading Indian tourism companies to showcase Uzbekistan’s rich tourism potential and cultural heritage.
As part of the itinerary, the Indian delegation met with Sanjar Tadjiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the conversation, the foreign guests were briefed in detail on Uzbekistan’s history, cultural identity, modern infrastructure, and visitor amenities.
The discussions focused on deepening bilateral partnership, boosting mutual tourist flow, establishing new travel itineraries, and actively promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism brand across the Indian market.
Arriving with the support of Enjoy Travel LLC and the Hilton Hotel, the Indian delegates highlighted strong interest in Uzbekistan’s historic monuments, cultural heritage, national cuisine, and pilgrimage (ziyarat) tourism offerings.
At the conclusion of the meeting, certificates of appreciation were presented to the delegation members for their contribution to promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in India and expanding incoming traveler numbers.
The Tourism Committee continues its systematic efforts to elevate Uzbekistan’s appeal in promising and priority target markets like India, build practical business links, and broaden bilateral tourism exchanges.
