On July 10, 60 girls will have an opportunity for free courses on CodeCraft programming at the Inha University in Tashkent. Before the beginning of the educational process, girls and their parents had an opportunity to get acquainted with the course. This project is aimed at building the capacity of girls and ensuring gender equality in ICT.
The project was initiated by Inha University in Tashkent in cooperation with the British Embassy in Uzbekistan. The participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of programming at well equipped classrooms of the University.
According to the organizers, in most cases programming is a job for men. But time has come for girls to show their talents in this direction and to compete with their fellow representatives.
CodeCraft project for children aged 9 to 15 was launched in 2015. Its goal is to teach children the creative use of the computer, revealing their creative potential.
