The traditional Flower Festival in Namangan began with a parade of unusually decorated vehicles.
More than 200 cars and motorcycles, decorated with colorful flowers in the form of ornaments, drove through the streets of the regional center.
At the event, 250 master florists from the regions of the country, as well as from 22 foreign countries, representatives of ikebana art, and landscape designers will demonstrate their art of floriculture.
According to the organizers, 16 million flowers of 300 species were planted during the preparation for the festival.
Following the festival, companies and florists will be awarded in 12 nominations.
The Flower Festival in Namangan has been held since 1961 and is a grandiose event reflecting the richness of colors of existing plants and flower culture.
The festival will run until June 5.
