According to the State Committee on Privatization, Demonopolization and Competition Development of Uzbekistan, in 2013 82 enterprises and objects went private.
The greatest number of projects was privatized in Tashkent and Surkhondaryo region – 11 objects each, in Namangan – 10 objects, in Khorazm region – 8, Jizzakh and Qashqadaryo regions – 7 each.
In the structure of privatized state property the major specific weight went to projects of local authorities – 54 objects. Cash inflow from privatization and denationalization of objects in January-December 2013 reached 44.1 billion soums. Geographically, the main part of cash inflow from privatization and denationalization went to the capital (68.8%).
