The Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan has hosted the final round of the Contest ‘Holiday of Book Lovers.’
Organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education in conjunction with the Central Council of the Public Youth Movement ‘Kamolot’ and the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan the contest turned the meeting place of book lovers from all regions of the country. The participants competed in the following categories: ‘Book is a treasury of knowledge’, ‘The most active advocate of works of fiction’, ‘Young talent’, ‘Stage works, based on books’, and ‘Music, based on books.’
“During the contest we have got the opportunity to get acquainted with interests of active students, their achievements and successes,” says of the participants of the contest, student at the Andijon State University, Sadoqat Negmatova. “I have learnt much and acquired new friends.”
To the contest results, the best book lovers received diplomas and keepsake gifts from the organizers.
