The 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Karakalpak state academic musical theatre named after Berdaq in Nukus has been celebrated.
“The Karakalpak state academic musical theatre named after Berdaq is the locus of Karakalpak national culture and art. During 90 years of its work, this theatre staged many plays that are to spectators’ liking,” says the director of the theatre, Kalbay Turdiyev.
The theatre helps to bring up young people in the spirit of love for the Motherland and respect for national values. This good work carried out by the theatre’s employees was highly evaluated, and this year, the title of academic theatre was given to them.
In the festive event held on the occasion of the theatre’s 90th anniversary prominent artistes, poets and writers from the city of Tashkent and regions of the republic and representatives of the wide public participated.
At this event, a video film about the creative path of the theatre, a concert programme by artistes and episodes of plays staged in various years were shown.
