A Meeting in a Military Unit

Numerous cultural and enlightenment events, panel discussions, sporting competitions and meetings are underway in Tashkent region occasioned to the January 14 – the Motherland Defenders Day and the 22nd anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Such a meting has taken place in one of the military units in the region.

The participants of the event attended by representatives of the wider public, servicemen and the youth, discussed the reforms in progress in the system of our country’s armed forces and the endeavors undertaken to secure the execution of the resolution of President Islam Karimov “On Additional Measures to Perfect the System of Privileges for Citizens Who Passed Conscription Service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan” signed 31 May 2012.

The event participants familiarized themselves with the conditions created in this military unit for Motherland defenders.

“During such meetings and conversations, the youths are introduced to the essence and significance of the book by the President of the country “The National Armed Forces as a Reliable Guarantor of the Independence, the Peaceful and Harmonious Life” and his other works,” says O.Khudoyberdiev, chairman of the regional council of the Kamolot Youth Social Movement. “Events like this are important in nurturing the youth in the spirit of patriotism, dedication to the Motherland and the ideas of independence, are projected to take place all year round.”
