On March 26-27, Tashkent will host International High-Level Conference on Afghanistan “Peace process, security cooperation and regional collaboration”. A Press Center with all necessary conditions is organized in Palace of Symposiums for its wide, qualitative and operational coverage, in Tashkent.
The head of the Press Center – the press secretary of the conference Sherzodkhon Kudratkhodjayev told the correspondent of UzA about the preparation for the coverage of this international conference:

The conference will be directly broadcasted to our press center. Here journalists will have an opportunity to watch the main events that will take place in the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”, and promptly transmit information.
More than 250 domestic and more than 20 foreign mass media have been accredited for the conference. In particular, mass media of China, Europe, Japan, Russia and the USA expressed a desire to participate in the coverage of the conference.

It is no secret that the situation in Afghanistan has a negative impact on overall security in the world. In the course of the election campaign, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that as the main priority areas of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy, particular attention would be paid to strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries. In a short period, new pages have been opened in relations with Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
The Tashkent forum creates an interactive platform for the countries not only of our region, but also of other states interested in establishing peace in the neighboring state. Tashkent used to be a kind of a platform for reconciliation. And this time Uzbekistan actively participates in such good deeds.
During the conference, the press center plans to hold workshops, section sessions devoted to the history, present life of Afghanistan, the way of life of the country’s people with participation of well-known political scientists, representatives of scientific circles. During these events, activities implemented on establishment of peace in Afghanistan, conducted political dialogues will be considered, opinions and comments about the practical initiatives forwarded by Uzbekistan will be heard. We think that during the conference the press center will serve as a platform for journalists to receive objective and reliable information.
