A republican scientific conference “Fundamental and Applied Problems of Physics” was held at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. More than 500 scientists from research and higher educational institutions of the country participated in the conference. President of the Academy of Sciences Shavkat Salikhov and other speakers told about the achievements physics and significance of the continuity of generations for its further development.
At the plenary session disciples and followers of the famous scientist, laureate of theState Prize, Honored Worker of Science and Technology, Academician Sadik Azimov presented reviews of the addresses. The conference was dedicated to the birthday anniversary of Sadik Azimov. Experts have heard more than 180 sectional messages on priority areas for basic and applied research – nuclear physics, elementary particles, semiconductors and solid, as well as renewable energy and heliomaterialogy. The issues of further use of force by daylight and nuclear technologies, the development of innovation in these and other areas were of particular interest.
