On March 1, 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the United States Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken.
Parties have focused on further strengthening Uzbekistan − the U.S. strategic partnership through the implementation of a number of significant projects aimed at developing trade, economic and investment ties, supporting the efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan to ensuring human rights and freedom of speech, expanding academic exchanges and promoting English language teaching in Uzbekistan.
Secretary Blinken assured the unwavering and full support of the U.S. Government of reforms of the President of Uzbekistan targeted at ensuring the interests of a person, respect for his honor and dignity.
