Active preparations for International Festival

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a press conference for media workers within the framework of preparation for the XII “Sharq Taronalari” International Music Festival and International conference on “Preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage: current problems and strategy for their solution”.
The Minister of Culture Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev and others noted that festivals, creative competitions, various conferences held in Uzbekistan widely demonstrate our national heritage, traditions and unique art to the world.
As previously reported, “Sharq Taronalari” International Music Festival will be held in Samarkand on August 26-30.
About 293 participants from 78 countries will attend the festival.
Systematic work is being carried out to familiarize the world community with large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan on studying, preserving and promoting cultural-historical heritage, preserving the tangible and intangible heritage of Uzbekistan.
International conference on “Preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage: current problems and strategy for their solution” will be held in Samarkand on August 26 to systematically continue this work and study international experience in this direction.
The main purpose of the international conference is wide introduction of UNESCO principles in preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, study of world experience in this area, introduction of new strategies and technologies, development of recommendations for using cultural heritage for commercial purposes in development of digital economy.
At the press conference, journalists received detailed answers to questions about two creative projects.
