The Committee of Women of Uzbekistan and the Kamolot Public Youth Movement have held a review contest in Ferghana entitled “National Clothes a Mirror of Spirituality”.
“This competition is of great practical importance for increasing youth’s interest in national costumes, traditions, spiritual values. Clothing made from such national fabrics as satin, adras and snipe, admires everyone. Today the teams in their speeches revealed the essence and significance of our national costumes,” said Sherzod Polvonov, chairman of the regional council of the Kamolot Public Youth Movement.
Dresses sewn in circles at general schools and professional colleges, as well as seamstresses engaged in individual entrepreneurship in the mahallas were demonstrated.
The first place in the competition was won by the team “Banoras” from Ferghana.
