The economic achievements of Uzbekistan during independence years are in focus of socio-political and business circles of Pakistan. Large-scale political and socio-economic reforms in the country, as well as investment and tourism potential of our country is very appreciated by the representatives of foreign expert circles.
For example, Pakistan hosted a seminar on the economic, investment and tourism opportunities of our country. The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized the event was attended by representatives of political, expert and business circles of the PRI, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country.
During the workshop the participants were informed about the current economic development of the republic, the measures taken for the modernization and technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises, further improvement of the investment climate, as well as government programs aimed at the social and infrastructural development.
The participants also got acquainted with the investment and tourism potential of our country, its rich historical and cultural heritage.

Waheed Ul Hassan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:
– The people of Pakistan and Uzbekistan are linked not only to the proximity of cultural, historical and religious values, but also the ancient ties of friendship. This is a solid basis for further development of bilateral relations.
Pakistan considers Uzbekistan as a strategically important country in Central Asia. We welcome the results of ongoing large-scale socio-economic reforms in your country. Pakistan and Uzbekistan have great and not fully realized the potential in the areas of trade, energy and agriculture.

– Consistent implementation of the Uzbek model not only contributes to the dynamic economic growth of Uzbekistan, but also provides a harmonious combination of the country’s modernization process with conservation and enhancement of cultural and historical heritage of the Uzbek people. No country in the world can compare with him in the number of historical figures, thinkers and humanists as well as scientists and the great spiritual theologians who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of mankind. Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are citadels of Islamic civilization, which today many historical attractions are combined with the most modern architectural structures.
Currently, Uzbekistan is one of the leading states in the region, which makes the deeply thoughtful and independent foreign policy. An analysis of the history and culture of the Uzbek people shows that Uzbekistan has not only a significant strategic reserve of strength, but also a great potential for further development.

Uzbekistan has always fascinated people of South Asia, and when it comes to the region before the eyes appear silhouettes of world famous historical cities – Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, as well as the names of the great thinkers of the East Beruni, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, al-Khorezmi, at-Termizi and many other individuals who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of human civilization. Uzbekistan has reached unimaginable economic success, and become a regional center at this pace of economic development in the near future.
