In the two and a half months since the issuance of licenses of a new sample, 1977 Uzbek citizens received them after the end of the driving school, and 8404 – changed old-style driver’s licenses to new ones, the General Directorate of Internal Affairs of Tashkent said.
Currently, the rights are issued only in several branches of the capital – Chilanzar, Yunusabad, Sergeli, and in the registration and examination department on the “Fayzabad” block.
New licenses have special protection, as well as an electronic tag (NFC), which allows non-contact data exchange. It stores the personal identification number of the individual, and for legal entities – the identification number of the taxpayer. They fully comply with international standards and are suitable for use in other countries.
