In the capital park named after Gafur Gulam the traditional VIII republican exhibition-fair of products of national crafts and applied arts “Mustaqil yurt hunarmandlari” began its work. It has been traditionally organized by the Association “Hunarmand”, National Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milly Tiklanish”, Republican International Cultural Centre, Artists’ union “Tasviriy oyina”.
The aim of the event was presentation of new products, promotion of the exchange of experience in the field of crafts, identifying and rewarding the best craftsmen of Uzbekistan.
As part of the exhibition-fair some of the participants shared their views and assessments in an interview with Information Agency “Jahon”.
Mosud Mannan, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan:- I was glad to attend this spectacular event, in the course of which a ceremony of awarding the best masters of the art of making handmade products was also held. The fact that along with experienced craftsmen there are young and novice masters awarded prizes deserves special attention. At the same time, a great pleasure to see so many people who appreciate national and folk art. Such events contribute to the preservation of national traditions, the transmission of the secrets of art and knowledge from generation to generation.
I liked the presented products of craftsmen that have been made in a particular national style. They are distinguished by their uniqueness. I note that the work of Uzbek craftsmen are recognized worldwide.
I thank the organizers of this event for the contribution made to the preservation of the beautiful national-applied art of Uzbekistan.
