“ASG-Surkhon export-import savdo” to organize intensive gardens with drip irrigation

Presentation of “Angor Surkhon group” enterprise textile cluster project was held during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Surkhandarya region.

It is planned to grow highly profitable varieties of cotton in an area of 3,5 thousand hectares, reach a yield level of 50-60 quintals per hectare, deep processing raw materials and produce finished products. The enterprise also intends to organize greenhouses for growing lemons, peaches, strawberries and greens on 40 hectares of land. These projects will contribute to increasing incomes, ensuring employment of the population.

“ASG-Surkhon export-import savdo” enterprise presented a project on organization of intensive gardens with drip irrigation. The products will be processed and exported.

In 2018 it is planned to create intensive gardens on 900 hectares, in 2019 – on 1150 hectares. Relevant activity has already begun. Specialists from the USA, Israel and Turkey are involved in this process. Drilling of 3 out of 9 wells for irrigation has been completed.
