Baysun – the cradle of tangible and intangible culture

International scientific practical conference “Baysun – the cradle of tangible and intangible culture” was held at Termez State University within the framework of “Boysun bahori” (“Spring in Baysun”) open folklore festival, to be held on April 28-29 in Baysun district.

Baysun, located in the center of majestic mountains, as one of the ancient cradles of civilization is of interest among scientists worldwide. This land, one of the first places of residence of people, is known for its beautiful nature, unique flora and fauna, tangible and intangible culture, unique values.

Baysun, which for millennia has kept a unique cultural heritage, was recognized by UNESCO in 2001 as “Masterpiece of oral and intangible cultural heritage”, in 2008 it was included in UNESCO’s representative list “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mankind”. The basis for holding the festival “Boysun bahori” was laid in order to widely promote such values.
