Branches of libraries for blind people will be opened in districts

According to the Director of the Republican library for blind people under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Alima Akhetova, branches of the library will be opened in Nukus,Turtkul,Ellikkala and Kegeyli districts.

Libraries will operate in buildings of the centers of culture and leisure of the population.

The main goal of organization of such branches is to increase the level of knowledge of blind people and members of their families, replenishment of book fund and strengthening material-technical base of libraries.

All libraries will be provided with audio books and publications in Braille. It should be noted that branches of libraries were previously opened in Chimbay, Khodjeyili, Amudarya, Kungrad and Beruniy districts.
