The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with the Director of Corporate and Public Relations at Acharya Institutes Vishesh Chandrashekar. Issues of strengthening cooperation in education were discussed at the meeting.
In accordance with the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, an IT cluster specializing in digital technologies and meeting modern requirements is being launched in Bukhara region’s Karakul district, the purpose of which will be to create a complex chain from education to production in the information technology.
The IT cluster will include a university with 5,600 seats, an incubation center with 100 seats and a center for the export of remote services with 50 seats, a student dormitory with 1,435 seats and a hotel for employees, a canteen, outdoor and indoor sports complexes.
On October 10 this year, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan, Bukhara region’s hokimiyat and Acharya Institutes of India signed a Cooperation Agreement to create a new university – Acharya International University of Uzbekistan.
Issues of continuing work in this direction, the development of new joint projects were also discussed at the meeting.
