Samarkand hosted republican competition-exhibition of young artisans “Applied art – in the hands of promising youth”.
The competition, which was held for the first time at the initiative of “Hunarmand” association together with a number of organizations, was attended by 28 young artisans from all regions of the country who won the previous competitions.
The competition is aimed at preserving and restoring traditions of artisan schools in Uzbekistan, identifying and supporting talented youth in this sphere.
Winners of the competition and active participants in “The youngest and skillful artisan”, “Artisan, using new innovative projects”, “The youngest artisan” nominations were encouraged by the organizers.
