A job fair has been held for graduates of vocational colleges in Namangan. 125 entrepreneurial entities participated in the job fair with more than 700 vacancies.
The event was arranged by the Region’s hokimiyat (governorate) in cooperation with the Region’s labour main directorate. Nearly 1,000 graduates attended the job fair.
At the job fair, detailed information was given about social security, labour legislation, opportunities for small business and family entrepreneurship, modern enterprises in the region and vocational training and re-training.
“Special attention being paid under the leadership of the President of our country to attracting vocational college graduates to entrepreneurial activity is an important factor in young people’s embarkation specifically on this sphere. At today’s event, too, certificates entitling more than 180 million soms worth of preferential bank credits were given to 17 graduates for their business ideas. Nearly 144 million soms of credit funds were given to 16 graduates,” says S.Rizayev, chief of a department of the Region’s labour main directorate.
As part of the event, an exhibition of mini-technologies and products of such economic entities as industrial and construction enterprises took place. Young people were very much interested in this exhibition.
“I have signed an employment agreement with the Namanganmash joint-stock company. I and my family are glad that I have a job right after my graduation,” says B.Ahmadhonov, who is graduating from the Namangan industrial vocational college.
According to information from the Region’s secondary special education and vocational training directorate, this year more than 35 thousand 200 boys and girls are graduating from 108 vocational colleges. Consistent work is being carried out on the basis of specific measures to provide them with jobs and to help them find their own place in society. As a result of these measures, in the first quarter of this year, quadripartite agreements were drawn up with 98 per cent of these graduates.
In order to attract graduates to entrepreneurial activity, the Regional main directorate of the Central Bank is to make sure that more than 19 billion 880 million soms worth of preferential credits are allocated. In the past period, a database was formed on 2 thousand 575 graduates desiring to engage in entrepreneurial activity. On the basis of this, in the first quarter of this year, 535 graduates’ business projects were financed with more than 6 billion soms worth of preferential credits.
At the job fair, many young people were provided with jobs.
