The Malaysian news portal News of Asia continues to acquaint the readers with the development of Uzbekistan in various fields.  The article, published by the author – the director of the company Air Riths Haji Ritsman bin Haji Mohamed, is devoted to the cooperation of our country and Malaysia in pilgrimage tourism.

It is reported that one of the most important places for visiting every Muslim, along with the sacred sites of Mecca and Medina, is the mausoleum of the outstanding mukhaddith (collector of Hadiths) of Imam Bukhari near Samarkand.

As the author points out, in connection with the fact that the historical monuments are situated on the territory of the ancient cities of Uzbekistan, the visit of which equates to “small hajj”, they are included in tourist packages for pilgrimage tourism. In addition, these centers demonstrate the rich heritage of the Uzbek people. In particular, the inhabitants of Malaysia are of special interest, in addition to the Imam Bukhari complex, to the sacred places of burial of Imam Maturidi, Imam Tirmidhi, Bahauddin Naqshband, Abu Rayhan Biruni.

It is reported that following the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Tourism Development Committee of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Malaysia, as well as five similar documents between the travel companies of the two countries. According to the author of the material, these agreements will greatly contribute to expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, strengthening business ties and opportunities.
