On May 21, a meeting with members of the delegation led by the head of the working group of the Council of the European Union for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Jutta Edthofer, was held in the khokimiyat of Bukhara region.
At the event, large-scale reforms that are being carried out in the region, attracted foreign investment projects, conditions created in the country to attract investment, tourism opportunities of the region were discussed.
Jutta Edthofer noted that the delegation includes representatives of many states of the European Union, the purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with changes in Uzbekistan.
The guests received answers to their questions about employment of the population, activity in the fields of agriculture and education, the role of women in formation of civil society, education of youth.
The delegation visited the Oydin Nur family social protection center in Bukhara. They got acquainted with historical and cultural monuments and sights of the city.
