A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held several meetings and negotiations in Brussels, Belgium, on 17-19 March 2014, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
On 17-19 March 2014, the delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, which participated in the 11th session of the Cooperation Council “Uzbekistan – European Union, held meetings with the Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok, European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger and European Commissioner for Development Andris Piebalgs in Brussels.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said the sides considered current state and perspective directions of expanding of cooperation between Uzbekistan and European Union in various spheres.
The delegation also held talks with the chairperson of the Senate of Belgium Sabine de Bethune, State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Dirk Achten. The sides considered issues of further developing the Uzbek-Belgium dialogue at the inter-parliamentary level, political-diplomatic, economic, investment and culture-humanitarian spheres.
