Fergana territorial department for tourism development jointly with the regional khokimiyat (administration) discussed issues of attracting Israeli tourists to the region with representatives of Israel tourism industry.
Within the framework of negotiations, priority tasks for implementation of planned goals, including, creation of Kosher tours taking into account traditional features and preferences of Jewish people were identified. The sides considered issues of creating tourism programs for pilgrimage sites, especially Jewish cemetery in Fergana.
According to the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, Director of “VP Group” travel company Lev Mindel proposed to include into kosher tourism organization of meetings with Jewish diaspora, living in the valley, and entertainment shows based on Jewish folklore.
A close cooperation with representatives of tourism sector of Israel has been established.
