The regular meeting of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation took place in Dushanbe.
The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
It was noted that the upcoming official visit of the President of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan will be of great historical importance in further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The parties paid special attention to the issues of filling the agenda of the visit with practical content, holding all planned events at a high level.
At the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the current state and prospects for cooperation in trade, economic, transport and communication, energy, cultural, humanitarian, agricultural and water sectors, as well as in the interregional format were discussed.
