An International Ecotourism Festival titled “Echo of Chimgan – 2016” held in Bostanlik district of Tashkent region.
The festival, jointly organized by the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan, Tashkent regional khokimiyat (administration), ECO Forum of NGOs of Uzbekistan, the Federation of Extreme and Mountaineering Tourism in Uzbekistan, non-governmental non-profit organization “Rodnichok”, was attended by members of the deputy group of the Ecological Movement of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, representatives of relevant organizations, scientists and young people, foreign tourists.
Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Central Council of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan S.Sanginov and others noted that as a result of works carried out under the leadership of the President of our country – ecotourism is intensively developed.
On the basis of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the program of development of tourism in the Tashkent region for 2013-2015” dated September 20, 2013 in the region are improved the tourist infrastructure and services. Opening up new tourist destinations, tourists get acquainted with the beautiful nature, historical monuments of our country, traditions of national crafts.
This festival is organized for the purpose of educating the young generation in the spirit of love for the country, the ability to appreciate the gifts of Mother Nature, the development of eco-tourism.
At the festival, by children’s ecological journal “Bulokcha” ( “Rodnichok”) within the framework of implemented jointly with the project “For the sake of a healthy generation” of the Public Fund for Support of NGOs and other civil society institutions under the Oliy Majlis, was organized “round table” on the theme “Let’s preserve the nature”.
As part of the environmental action “We are for clean Chimgan” the Chimgan territory was cleared of household and other wastes. Among the tourists was conducted explanatory work about the necessity of nature conservation, protection of flora and fauna.
Within the festival were conducted lessons “Eco-schools under the open sky”, as well as various games and competitions.
