Equestrian Competitions in Jambay district

On March 17, Ulak-kupkari International Equestrian Competitions, organized by the regional khokimiyat together with Uzbekistan Equestrian Federation, were held in Jambay district of Samarkand region.
The event, dedicated to Navruz celebrations, was attended by over 500 riders and senior officials of equestrian sports federations from various regions of the country, as well as from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
The most dexterous and skillful riders got prizes – more than 60 camels, stallions, about 50 TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, lots of carpets and cash rewards.
The main prize of the regional khokimiyat – Chevrolet Lacetti car went to Orif Shodiyorov from Jizzakh, who became the winner on a race horse of the Karabair breed of Elyor Boymatov, nicknamed “Panther”.
Competitions were held between riders from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The victory went to Uzbekistan riders with a score of 3:2.
