Karakalpakstan hosts Ethno caravanserai 2018 festival. The festival is organized by khokimiyat of Kanlikul district with the assistance of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Development of Tourism, in Kanlikul district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
According to the Press Service of the State Committee for Development of Tourism, the event is held to promote the rich traditional musical heritage of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan people, as well as internal and external tourism potential of Kanlikul district.
The festival will be attended by performers of folk musical and instrumental ensembles, cultural figures of Kanlikul district, fashion designers of national dresses. Representatives of UNDP and State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Development of Tourism, leading tour operators, as well as mass media are invited to Ethno caravanserai 2018 festival.
A rich program of the festival includes excursion tours, familiarization with the work of local musical and instrumental collectives and storytellers. Within the framework of the festival works of folk crafts, folklore ensembles and creative teams will be demonstrated.
Following the festival, a show of national costumes Kanlikul Fashion night from collection of modern Karakalpak fashion designers will be held.
