Exhibition of South Korean Artists

An exhibition of artists from South Korea has opened at the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravan-Sarai of Culture of Uzbekistan’s Academy of Arts.

The opening ceremony of the exposition organized by the Arts Academy of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Korea Fine Arts Association was attended by representatives of various government agencies, creative organizations, the diplomatic corps accredited in our country, artists and art amateurs.

It was noted that the cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea has been advancing steadily across the entire spectrum of areas, including culture and arts. It has become a good tradition in particular to hold exhibitions of works of South Korean artists and photo masters as well as South Korean Cinema Days in our nation. Likewise, exhibitions narrating Uzbekistan’s achievements in arts and diverse concert shows are organized in the Republic of Korea.

The current presentation has come to be another example of the consolidating cultural cooperation between our two nations. It demonstrates more than three hundred works of artists both from South Korea and citizens of Uzbekistan.

“Uzbek and South Korean artists have much in common in their artistic creativity,” says Cho Kang-Hoon, Chairman of the Korea Fine Arts Association. “Their works glorify national and universal values and gracious feelings. This exhibition is to make an enormous input into the further consolidation of friendly bonds between the Korean and Uzbek peoples, into the promotion of cultural ties between our two countries.”
