Military servicemen lined up in the square of the Islam Karimov theatre concert palace in the town of Fergana.
There modern military hardware and weapons were displayed, and soldiers’, sergeants’ and cadets’ demonstrative performances were impressive.
On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the formation of the country’s armed forces and 14 January – Motherland Defenders Day, a big festival of military patriotism was conducted there entitled “Our national army is a school of bravery, perseverance and courage for young people”.
This festival is of important significance to ensuring openness and transparency in the work of the country’s armed forces and bringing up the younger generation in the spirit of military patriotism, loyally to the country and respect for national values.
“I find every performance of military servicemen defending our Motherland’s glory to be impressive. Until now, we had seen military hardware and weapons only on TV and films. Today I and my peers had a chance to even hold military equipment,” says Shohruhmirzo Toirov, a student of the Fergana branch of the Tashkent university of information technology named after Al Khorezmi.
