A festive event dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 14 January – Motherland Defenders Day, as well as the festival «The army and the youth» under the motto «National army is a school of courage, fortitude and heroism of youth» was held in Gulistan.
The event, organized jointly by Syrdarya regional khokimiyat (administration), regional Women’s Commitee, departments of Internal Affairs, public education, Coucil of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan and other organizations within the framework of the execution of the Decree of President of our country «On measures for preparation and celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Motherland Defenders», of December 7, 2017, was attended by military personnel, their family members, youth, representatives of state and public organizations.
The Deputy commander of Tashkent military district Colonel B.Uralbaev and others noted that the national army, operational and mobile, well organized, equipped with modern weapons, equipment and stataffed with qualified military personnel, is a reliable guarantor of independence, security and territorial intergrity of our country.
The event began with lying flowers to the monument of Grieving Mother at the Memory square in Gulistan.
In “Buyuk kelajak” makhalla, sodiers and their family members were given keys from three-storey apartment houses.
– I was also solemnly handed the key from three-storey apartment house, built on the updated projects at the initiative of the President of our country for military servicemen and their family members, – says the Senior Sergeant Akrom Gafforov. – It is a great honor and pride for me to protect the Motherland and peaceful life of people.The state creates all conditions for military servicemen and their family members. We are grateful to the President of our country for such care and attention and ready to serve selflessly in the name of our beloved Motherland.
Spiritual-enlightenmement events, meetings, festivals and video meetings are being held in military units, educational institutions, organizations, enterprises and communities of the region, which contribute to the education of youth in the patriotic spirit.
Officers’, sergeants’ and soldiers’ marching under the sounds of military orchestra, parade of military equipment and weapons made a vivid impression on participants of the festival “The army and the youth”.
The festive event continued at “Navruz” celebrations complex. Here,a group of military servicemen, who selflessly served to the Motherland, were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts by the regional adminstration and the command of the troops of Tashkent military district.
Khokim (governor) of Syrdarya region G.Mirzaev delivered a speech at the event.
