Future Customs Officers Take Oath The cadets admitted to the Customs Higher Military Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan have taken the oath of allegiance to our people, Motherland and President.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Senate and Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, officials of ministries and other government agencies, the faculty of the Institute and the general public.
Chairman of the State Customs Committee Z.Dusanov and others noted that successful and effective solution of tasks that customs authorities face today depends on the human resources potential, on training highly qualified specialists in customs affairs. They, with their personal and proficiency qualities, should meet the contemporary requirements expected from a customs officer, ought to have high moral-willpower qualities, ability to think unconventionally and be willing to serve whole-heartedly for the good of the native land.
Currently, customs authorities are provided with highly qualified cadres and this task has been successfully addressed by Central Asia’s only specialized higher education institutions – the Customs Higher Military Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan that meets world standards and wields crucial scientific capacities and cutting-edge economic and technical base.
Today, cadets attain knowledge across all the principal aspects of the sphere at the eleven department of the Institute, where everything necessary is created for a thorough study of disciplines. The learning process envisages extensive application of interactive methods and technical means of education, conduct of academic conferences, field training classes in customs bodies, seminar discussions. Special significance is attached to teaching foreign languages, essential in practical work. Specialized lecture halls and laboratories function in the Institute, as well as a training platform for customs control of passenger trains, buses and trucks.
“The inviolability of economic borders of our Motherland, the wellbeing of the people depend on the vigilance, professionalism and selflessness of customs officers,” the freshman Akbar Azimov asserts. “It is a great honor for me to study at the Customs Higher Military Institute. We the cadets are grateful to the head of our state for comprehensive support and encouragement of youths.”
