A similar workshop in Urgench gathered members of the general public and the business community. In Khorezm region, as well as in neighboring Karakalpakstan, the use of “clean” energy is a priority. Regions much more affected by the drying of the Aral Sea are interested in further dynamic development without harming the environment. Furthermore, the climatic conditions of them are very favorable for usage, in particular solar energy. Scientific Innovation Center “Eco-energy” has already implemented several successful projects there. In particular, Takhtakupir district in Karakalpakstan, Khiva and Gurlen Districts in Khorezm region commissioned experimental models of solar panels, collectors, ovens, solar tower plants.

During the meeting, experts discussed the issues of energy efficiency in detail. There were given practical examples of how to better use of electricity and heating.
