Representatives of Uzbekistan signed export contracts for US$151.2 million within international agriculture fair “Green Week-2017”, the press service of Uzagroexport said.
Annual international agriculture fair “Green Week-2017” is taking place in Berlin, Germany.
This year, the Uzbek delegation included entrepreneurs and farmers, khokims of regions and districts, representatives of the processing and export companies of Uzbekistan and headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Zoyirov Mirzaev.
Agri-industrial potential of Uzbekistan at the fair was presented by foreign trade companies such as Uzbekoziqovqatholding, Uzvinsanoat-holding, Uzagroexport, as well as farms from various regions of Uzbekistan.
National stand of Uzbekistan with total area of 200 square meters presented wide-range of fresh fruits, vegetables and melons, dried fruits, oil and fat products, as well as wine products, spices, processed fruits and vegetables – juices, jams, tinned products.
During the seven days of the fair, representatives of Uzbekistan signed the mid and long term agreements, as well as export contracts worth US$151.2 million for supply of fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products to the European and other countries.
The agreements on export of fruits and vegetables were signed with representatives of over 10 countries of the world, including Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, South Korea, India, China, UAE and Turkey.
The visitors to national stand of Uzbekistan familiarized with potential of Uzbekistan on production of fruits, vegetables, offers and demands of agriculture industry. The guests positively underlined quality and diversity of agriculture products, manufactured in Uzbekistan.
In particular, the Danish businesses, who tasted fresh and dry products, highly rated tasty Uzbek fruits and expressed readiness to further cooperation.
The Uzbek delegation held talks with officials of ministries and departments, agri-industrial companies, association of Germany and other states.
During negotiations, representatives of foreign companies received information on economic development of Uzbekistan, measures, adopted by the Government, on modernization and re-equipment of industrial enterprises, including agriculture sector, further improving investment climate, as well as state programme of infrastructure development of the country.
The Uzbek delegation visited German firms and companies, which process agriculture products, produce equipment and packaging materials.
During the exhibition, the Uzbek companies held talks with representatives of foreign companies, including the Same Deutz-Fahr, Euro Asia, Abgeordnetenhaus, Tampico Trading Gmbh (Germany), GlobusMax (Poland), Better International Trade, Florry Business LP (UK), Leonard -Service (Russia), Urumqi Tongyale International Trade, Xinjiang Bari Import & Export Trading Co Ltd (China), Go Nuts & Fruits FZE (UAE), Avietes (Lithuania), Befresh (Israel), Greenfield Agro, SHRI NIWAS dALL & BESAN MILL (India), Seolim Trading Co LTD (South Korea), etc.
