Heroes live forever

Heroes never die. They live forever in the memory of people. Probably, everyone who took part at the event, related to restoration of the monument to the first Uzbek General Sobir Rakhimov in its historical place – Almazar district in Tashkent, thought about it.

Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the general public, veterans of war and labor, youth were invited to the event organized in this connection.

During the visit to Namangan region, the Head of the state forwarded the idea of restoring the monument to Uzbek General Sobir Rakhimov in its historical place, which was received with great enthusiasm by people of Uzbekistan.

Sobir Rakhimov, known among people as a legendary general, was born in 1902 in Tashkent. In 1941-1945 participated in the struggle against fascism. Thanks to bravery, courage, determination, peculiar combat tactics, his name entered the golden pages of the historical annals. He was severely wounded several times and passed away almost at the end of the war.

At the solemn event, participants laid flowers at the monument to General Sobir Rakhimov.
