High Technologies to Enhance Business Capacities

The integrated trade platform Teclot.com has been presented in Tashkent at an official ceremony where the participants discussed issues related to instituting a single business environment with application of information and communication technologies.

The event was organized by the Support Fund for the exports of small business and private entrepreneurship entities under the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the Sixth International Uzbekistan Industrial Forum-2014.

In his keynote speech delivered at the Cabinet of Ministers session to outline the results of socio-economic development in 2013 and the most critical priorities of the economic program for 2014, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov stressed in particular the importance of shaping a full-fledged competitive environment in the country, securing access to the global market, and ensuring comprehensive support for and intensified stimulation of small business and private entrepreneurship. In furthering these goals, a great deal of role is played by the extensive introduction of latest information and communication technologies, notably, the engagement of export oriented enterprises in electronic commerce platforms, which would lead to the creation of considerable conveniences for their foreign economic activities, search for potential customers and the effective promotion of their goods.

All these opportunities are expected to be marshaled by the integrated trade platform Teclot.com, whose system works in nine languages and unites companies from Europe, Asia, Americas, Africa and CIS nations.

“The participation of small business and private entrepreneurship entities in electronic trade is to considerably simplify their commercial activities and open up enormous opportunities for the export of products,” says the caretaker director of the Support Fund for the exports of small business and private entrepreneurship entities Jahongir Mustafaev. “The international practice suggests that as a result of the promotion of goods through the internet trade, the effectiveness of their activities rises by 50-80 percent. The new edition of the law on electronic commerce will facilitate the perfection of normative regulation in this field.”

During the occasion the participants were detailed on the working principles of the integrated trade platform Teclot.com.
