Holiday celebrations have started at the Mustaqillik (Independence) Square.
The country’s main square, re-emerging in a new, fairy-tale style, is full happy hubbub and children’s laughter. People come here in holiday mood.
Around the New Year tree, finely decorated with multi-colour garlands and shining toys, songs and melodies are heard, merry games and theatrical shows are organized. Various attractions, swings and other amusements for children are installed. New Year stalls sell toy, sweets, holiday gifts.
The faces of parents, grandfathers and grandmothers, looking with love to their playing children and grandchildren, demonstrate gratitude for the results of reforms on ensuring the interests of individuals, peaceful and calm life, upbringing healthy generation, creation and beautification.
In the passing year 2015, the Year of attention and care for elder generation, wide-scale works on strengthening protection of human interests, increasing the quality of life, all-round harmonious development of children, ensuring social stability in the country, strengthening the climate of accord, mutual understanding, love and mercy. Announcement of the coming year 2016 the Year of healthy mother and child on the initiative of President Islam Karimov, undoubtedly, will become a new stage in continuation of this noble deed.
A huge monitor, installed in the square, demonstrate clips on transformation on all spheres of life, creative works, changing appearances of our cities and villages, results of reforms for the future young generation. Our compatriots feel heartfelt gratitude and pride for these days.
On the stage, specially installed at the square, artists of the Uzbek national academic drama theatre put on show “Adventures of New Year” for children. The performance with such heroes as Nasriddin Afandi, Zumrad and Qimmat, Falsehood and Truth give children enormous joy and unforgettable impressions.
– New Year is my most favorite holiday, says a schoolboy Ezozbek Rahmanov from Sergeli district.– It is even better at Mustaqillik square. We have played with many fairy tale heroes, bought toys, sweets, holiday gifts.
– We come to this square on New Year’s Eve with the whole family, says a teacher of the Tashkent professional college of automobile roads Yulduz Sattorova. – All conditions for children are created in this beautiful square.
The fairy tale town, lit by laser lights, gets even more beautiful towards the evening.
– The passing year has been quite successful for me, says master’s student at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan Farangiz Salokhujaeva.. – As the winner of Alisher Navoi State scholarship, I have been admitted to master’s program without examinations. I have also been awarded with “Uzbekiston belgisi” badge. All my achievements are the results of love and attention to the youth in our country.
The hoiliday celebrations are also held in all parks squares of our capital by the Ministry of culture and sports, “Uzbeknavo” artists association, “Uzbekteatr” association, Tashkent city khokimiyat and others partners.
