The President of the country drew attention to issues relating to the activities of rural medical centers. He stated: “At present, rural medical centers are sufficiently equipped with means of laboratory testing, diagnostic aids for primary medical examination. However, we cannot deny the fact that there are not enough trained professionals who know how to use this modern medical equipment, and residents of some remote areas have to go to the district or regional center to simply take a blood test.”

Another initiative of the head of state aimed at improving healthcare for the rural population is the transfer of the work of the rural medical centers into round-the-clock mode. To this end, on the proposal of Shavkat Mirziyoyev there is need to build houses for doctors near the medical centers.

“In some places, medical examinations are carried out formally, – the President took notice. – Lack of qualified specialists in remote regions suggests that there is still much to be done to address the personnel issue.”

The leader of Uzbekistan spoke about the quality of emergency medical care, “we have taken a number of measures aimed at improving its level. However we cannot say that today our people are satisfied with the quality of this service. Time dictates a fundamental change of the system.”

The President also talked about the need to organize separate clinics for girls and women. The birth of a healthy generation – owners of tomorrow largely depends on the health of women.

A lot of issues waiting their solution concerns activities of the specialized medical centers. All functioning centers are located in Tashkent. This creates inconveniences for the rural population. Specialized medical centers professionals should go to the regions and provide the people with medical services on the spot, carry out surgery, said the President.
